For performing several tasks on your computer, local users and groups play a vital role as a console in Windows 10 home. When it is running on any desktop or laptop, it won’t be visible to any normal user. It is an account set-up process that you can perform by yourself on your computer. 

Local users and groups Windows 10 home is a kind of set-up that you can apply on your computer. The first thing you need to do in that case is to open local users and groups in Operating System. Then you need to perform adding and managing members on the group you created.

 You can follow two different methods for windows 10 home add user to multiple groups, and those are: 

  1. By Using the Computer Management Utility 
  2. By Using lusrmgr.msc Directly 

1. How to add Local Users and Groups to Computer Management Utility

To complete this task, at first, you will have to open the WinX Home menu. After entering there, you need to select the “Computer Management” section.  By clicking on the dropdown menu beside “Computer Management,” you can access that panel. 

From that panel, access the “System Tools” option to open up the other options inside that. Then, you will have to locate the “Local Users and Groups” portion and click on it to expand. You will see two different folders named “Users” and “Groups,” and access to that section.

Expand and enter those two folders one after another. Then you will find the necessary information and details there to work with. 

2. How to Create Local Users and Groups by Using lusrmgr.msc Directly

You can use the lusrmgr.msc command, you can directly open the local users and groups on Windows 10 Home. You can do that from the search box of your Windows-operated device situated on the bottom-left corner of the screen. 

You will have to choose the top-most result option from the result panel. There is another simplest way of doing this task as well. All you will need to do is clicking on the “Windows Key + R” from your keyboard.  

On that box, you will see a blank box beside the “Open” section. You will have to type “lusrmgr.msc” in that newly appeared empty box.

Then click on “OK” to run this command and open local users and groups on your Windows 10 Home supported device. You will see your device name there with a dropdown menu at the left of that name. 

After clicking there, some other menu will appear, and you need to locate “Users” from those menus. Then, right-click on the “Users” option, and you will see an option appearing as “Create” with a “+” icon. Click on it to start creating a new user for the group. 

How to Create Local Users

This action will bring up the “Create New User” window, which will require some information to provide. After putting all the necessary information there, click on “Advance” to fulfill the task you started.

How to Manage and Remove Local Users and Groups Windows 10 Home

Managing the Users in the Group

After adding a user to the group, you will have to manage it for further usage and safety. To manage and modify any user account, you will first have to enter the “Local User and Groups” window. As you will see the dropdown sign beside your PC name, you need to click on that. 

Then you will see the user’s name on the right side of the navigation panel of the “Local User and Groups” window. From there, you can rename the user, set a password for the user, and do the other modification. 

Removing the Users from the Group

Whether you want to create a user, manage the user, or delete the user account from the group, you need to enter the “Local User and Groups” window first. After entering there, open the “Groups” folder. If there are multiple groups, you need to locate your desired group and double-click on it to enter the group. 

As you will enter there, the user list of that group will be shown on your screen. Make a decision about which users you will remove from the group and then locate them from the list. Select those user accounts from the user list, and then click on “Delete” to remove those users altogether.

Thus, you can first create groups and then add local users there. If you feel the necessity later, you can make any modifications and manage those user accounts. You can even remove the unwanted user accounts from the group when the time comes by following the methods discussed above.

You may do heavy tasks by using your computer, which is running on the Windows 10 Home Operating System. By adding local users and creating groups, you can get assistance from your partners. When you create Local users and groups Windows 10 Home, all the control will be in your hand. 

After adding the local users to the group, you can make the necessary modification to those users and groups. If you feel the necessity, you can set a password for any user and even delete the account when the time comes.
